I gave a 5 star rating to my Glock 23 because of it's many fine features and great build quality. However, I've had my S&W Sigma 40S&W a lot longer than the Glock and honestly can't see that the quality or reliability is any better or worse than the Glock. I have shot hundreds and hundreds of rounds through the Sigma and never had a misfire. I have had one through the Glock and both shooting the same reloads. Yes the Sigma is a half inch longer and thus, a little heavier, but you really don't notice it. Yes, I know S&W infringed on the Glock patents, but I give them credit for recognizing a great design. As a plus for the Sigma, the stock pistol grip is much more comfortable and fits my hand superbly and the Sigma is a lot more accurate than the Glock. I shot the Sigma at man sized targets out to 20 and 30 yards with great success in Wyoming. The extra rounds the Sigma holds is also a plus. I know no one wants to hear these things, but they're my very honest opinion when comparing the two pistols. If I could keep only one of them, I'm afraid I would keep the Sigma...Hooorah USA!!!
